The MOUSTADAMA Programme, in partnership with the Middle East Investment Initiative (MEII) and the Bank of Palestine's Falastiniah project, conducted an online awareness session focused on empowering and supporting women entrepreneurs engaged in sustainable industrial development and decarbonization projects.
The session highlighted the various services, including MOUSTADAMA's energy audits and MEII's TAMWILI financial service, that MOUSTADAMA and MEII have tailored to address the specific needs and challenges faced by women in Palestinian small and medium enterprises, particularly in the industrial sector.
The partnership between UNIDO's MOUSTADAMA Programme and MEII aims to facilitate access to finance for sustainable energy projects, enabling Palestinian women entrepreneurs and industries to reduce energy costs, increase their competitiveness and contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Leveraging the expertise and resources of both organisations, the initiative aims to have a positive and lasting impact on the sustainable future of Palestine, with a particular focus on promoting gender equality and women's economic empowerment.
The results of this collaborative effort received very positive feedback from the participants of the awareness session, whose transformative outcomes will not only promote a higher and more impactful presence of women entrepreneurs in the Palestinian industrial sector, but will also improve and enhance the overall sustainability of the country and the region.
